We are pleased to announce that the Annual General Meeting of our School will take place on Sunday the 22nd of June, 5.30 – 7.00 in person, at the St Athanasios Hall (174 Cherry Hinton Road). Everyone is invited to attend. You can also send your proposal for topics for discussion at the AGM by emailing secretary@cambridgegreekschool.org.uk by Sunday the 15th of June.
During the first year of the present Committee’s tenure, three members have had to stand down due to increased work commitments and/or moving away from Cambridge. The Committee will note its gratitude for their service at the AGM and would also like to invite parents and carers to volunteer to step in and join the Committee as members for the second and final year of the Committee’s tenure, 2025-26. People who had expressed an interest to join the Committee in May 2024 as well as new volunteers are all very welcome to come forward. Please send your expression of interest to secretary@cambridgegreekschool.org.uk by the 15th of June – your help will be greatly appreciated.

Είμαστε στην ευχάριστη θέση να ανακοινώσουμε ότι η Ετήσια Γενική Συνέλευση του Σχολείου μας θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή 22 Ιουνίου, 5.30 – 7.00 δια φυσικής παρουσίας, στην αίθουσα St Athanasios Hall (174 Cherry Hinton Road). Καλούνται όλοι να παρευρεθούν. Μπορείτε επίσης να στείλετε προτάσεις σας για θέματα προς συζήτηση στην Ετήσια Γενική Συνέλευση μέσω email στο secretary@cambridgegreekschool.org.uk μέχρι την Κυριακή 15 Ιουνίου.
Κατά το πρώτο έτος της θητείας της παρούσας Επιτροπής, τρία μέλη παραιτήθηκαν λόγω αυξημένων εργασιακών υποχρεώσεων ή/και μετακόμισης μακριά από το Κέιμπριτζ. Η Επιτροπή θα εκφράσει την ευγνωμοσύνη της για την υπηρεσία τους στην Ετήσια Γενική Συνέλευση και θα ήθελε επίσης να καλέσει τους γονείς και τους κηδεμόνες να συμμετάσχουν εθελοντικά στην Επιτροπή ως μέλη για το δεύτερο και τελευταίο έτος της θητείας της Επιτροπής, 2025-26. We are pleased to inform you that the Ellinomatheia examinations conducted on the 20th- 22nd of May 2025 were successfully completed as scheduled. This is a significant achievement for our school, reflecting the dedication and hard work of our students and teachers throughout the year. A total of 65 candidates (including A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 levels) participated in the exams across the three days. Everything proceeded smoothly, in line with the planned programme and procedures. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our teachers for their commitment and excellent preparation of the students, and to the parent volunteers whose support was invaluable in ensuring the smooth running of the examinations.
Εξετάσεις ελληνομάθειας 2025
Με χαρά σας ενημερώνουμε ότι οι εξετάσεις Ελληνομάθειας που πραγματοποιήθηκαν από τις 20 έως τις 22 Μαΐου 2025 ολοκληρώθηκαν επιτυχώς, όπως είχε προγραμματιστεί. Πρόκειται για μια σημαντική επιτυχία για το σχολείο μας, που αντικατοπτρίζει την αφοσίωση και την προσπάθεια των μαθητών και των διδασκόντων μας καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια της χρονιάς.
Στις εξετάσεις συμμετείχαν συνολικά 65 υποψήφιοι (επίπεδα Α1, Α2, Β1, Β2 και Γ1) κατά τη διάρκεια των τριών ημερών. Όλα κύλησαν ομαλά, σύμφωνα με το προβλεπόμενο πρόγραμμα και τις διαδικασίες.
Θα θέλαμε να εκφράσουμε τις θερμές μας ευχαριστίες στους εκπαιδευτικούς μας για την αφοσίωση και την εξαιρετική προετοιμασία των μαθητών, καθώς και στους εθελοντές γονείς, των οποίων η υποστήριξη ήταν πολύτιμη για την ομαλή διεξαγωγή των εξετάσεων.
From Saturday 29th March onwards - New start time for the morning class at Quaker House. The morning classes at Quaker House will start and end ten minutes later, i.e. 09.10 – 11.40 (instead of 09.00 – 11.30). This ten-minute difference will allow parents who come from afar to arrive on time and will give the caretaker a little more time to prepare the rooms. The change concerns only the morning class and only the classes held at Quaker House.
